FAQ’S &
ANSWERS
Enjoyed the other pages of our website, but have a
question we just didn’t seem to cover or answer? Maybe one of the below,
Frequently Asked Questions and Answers does…..If not, please feel free to
contact HOWZAT on 4926 4488 or contact us here
Q: Can I come down to the facility and just have
a look around?
A: Yes, we welcome you too. Please let the Sport or
Health Club Team know you are here and we will show you through the facility,
plus answer any more questions along the way
Q: What do I need to bring if I’m about to play
my first indoor sports game?
A: We would suggest you wear something you’re
comfortable in, light weight and un-restrictive, sneakers, maybe a jumper for
after the game if it’s a late night game or in the cooler months. A bottle of
water – although you can purchase food and beverages from HOWZAT’s Sports
Reception. You will also need change for your game fee payment. Membership money
will also be required if its your first game in a new Competition / Team. We
supply the rest.
Q: Are there any age limits at HOWZAT?
A: Our childminding area accepts babies as young as
six weeks old. We have Junior Sport competitions, clinics and gymnastics
available at different times throughout the year to cater for 5 – 14 year olds.
Once over the age of 14, teenagers can use the Health Club. There Is no upper
limit and to encourage those who think they belong in that category…..I am aware
that one of our Health Club’s sexiest members celebrated his 90th
birthday back in May 2005.
Q: What happens if you want to start playing in
our Sports Competition, but don’t know anyone else, or are unable to get a full
team together?
A: Simply nominate yourself! If there are other
people who also want to play your nominated sport we’ll contact you all and try
to put together a Team for you. We also use this list for substitute players if
other Teams need a player or two from week to week.
Q: Do you have to be a member or part of the
sport competition to use HOWZAT?
A: No, not at all. We enjoy seeing new faces down
here. You can come casually to the Health club. You are able to participate in a
class and even jump on a treadmill before or afterwards if you’re really keen.
Our Indoor soccer, beach volleyball, basketball, netball, cricket and tennis
courts are available for casual hire. Appointments are necessary, so please
contact the Sports Reception to find out available days/times.
Q: What else do I need to bring for my child/ren
if they’re spending time in HOWZAT’s Childminding facility?
A: We encourage you to bring a drink and snack,
plus a change of clothes and nappy if children are in toilet training. Please
ensure all items are clearly labelled with your child/ren’s name. To maintain a
happy, healthy environment, HOWZAT’s childcare does not accept children that are
sick, contagious or constantly badly behaved.
Q: What should I do if I fall and injure myself
whilst playing in a sporting match?
A: If the umpire did not see the incident, please
inform him/her immediately. They or a fellow Team mate will then need to report
this to Sports Reception who can then apply the necessary first aid and complete
an accident report.
Q: Do we need to notify HOWZAT if my Sporting
Team can not make it to a game?
A: Yes! The earlier we know that a Team can not
play at their scheduled time, the more we can do to accommodate you. We can
arrange another game day/time, award bye points instead of a forfeit, re-arrange
your opposition or find a fill in Team.
