FAQ’S & ANSWERSEnjoyed the other pages of our website, but have a
question we just didn’t seem to cover or answer? Maybe one of the below,
Frequently Asked Questions and Answers does…..
Q: Can I come down to the facility and just have a look around? A: Yes, we welcome you too. Please let the Sport or Health Club Team know you are here and we will show you through the facility, plus answer any more questions along the way
Q: What do I need to bring if I’m coming down for a workout or class in the Health Club? A: We would suggest you wear something you’re comfortable in, light weight and un-restrictive (crop top or supportive bra for females, singlet/Tee, shorts/leggings/tracksuit pants), sneakers, a sweat towel (even if you don’t sweat – other people do) and a bottle of water. Bubblers are available throughout the Health club, plus bottled water and towels can be purchased / hired from Health Club Reception. You will need to show proof of ID if you wish to pay the concession rate.
Q: What classes would be best for me if I’m beginning, or getting back into the gym after a longer than expected break? A: Any one of our gentle exercise classes such as Yoga, Yogalates, Lite Pace or the National Heart Foundation approved class - Heartmoves. The next step from these classes may be a BODYPUMP class. A weights workout performed to music with a barbell which you adjust according to what muscle group your working throughout the class. No grapevines or impact, but a great body changing class.
Q: Are there any age limits at HOWZAT? A: Our childminding area accepts babies as young as six weeks old. We have Junior Sport competitions, clinics and gymnastics available at different times throughout the year to cater for 5 – 14 year olds. Once over the age of 14, teenagers can use the Health Club. There Is no upper limit and to encourage those who think they belong in that category…..I am aware that one of our Health Club’s sexiest members celebrated his 90th birthday back in May 2005.
Q: What else do I need to bring for my child/ren if they’re spending time in HOWZAT’s Childminding facility? A: We encourage you to bring a drink and snack, plus a change of clothes and nappy if children are in toilet training. Please ensure all items are clearly labelled with your child/ren’s name. To maintain a happy, healthy environment, HOWZAT’s childcare does not accept children that are sick, contagious or constantly badly behaved.
Q: If I don’t want to do an exercise class, what else can I do? A: You have access to all HOWZAT’s electronic cardiovascular equipment (treadmills, cross-trainers, rowers and bikes) plus the pin loaded, dumbbells and barbells, fit balls and abdominal mats. Part of your membership is time with a trainer who will explain how to use and which pieces of equipment best suit your health and fitness levels. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
